This is a fantastic Datacentre Architect contract opportunity to work with a leading London based tech organisation.

The Datacentre Architect is Hybrid with around 2 days a week in London plus occasional visit to Datacentres as required (based in Home Counties – mainly to the north of London) A driving licence and car are also essential due to DC location.

The Datacentre Architect contract is Outside IR35.

As Datacentre Architect you will work on the design of new (and refreshing of existing) datacentres for an established business in the financial services space. As Datacentre Architect previous experience designing DCs from scratch is essential, covering everything from power, cabling, cooling and networking through to compliance and security- DR, resilience and industry standards (Uptime Institute, TIA-942 etc) The Datacentre Architect must have solid experience of migrations to the Cloud with experience in one if not all of the 3 major Cloud platforms (azure, AWS, GCP) Very strong Infrastructure is essential as Datacentre Architect with excellent Virtualisation (Hyper-V, VMware etc) Networking and Storage Systems. This including selecting hardware to be installed in new DC as well as ensuring future scalability.

Strong regulatory understanding and experience with most if not all of HIPAA, PCI-DSS and GDPR are essential as Datacentre Architect with any DC related certifications being highly beneficial – CDCS, CDCP, AWS Sol Arch etc with HCI & SDN also being desirable. Alongside a proven track record of migrations to and from DCs and the Cloud and solid Design in relation to all things DC & Infrastructure, excellent client facing skills are essential as Datacentre Architect with any banking or financial services being preferred.
