A very interesting post, (Credit to: Visual Capitalist).
From the 1970s to current modern-day gaming, we have seen waves of gaming over the years be the dominant force in the industry. Go back to the 1970s, arcade gaming was number one, over years we saw PC and Console gaming crop up the 90s, taking up a larger share, as trends changed, and tech evolved. In the past 15 years, mobile gaming has now taken the throne, boasting $85b in revenue, beating both console ($33b) and PC ($40b) together.
What does everything think will be the next big thing? Do we see Mobile continuing a gigantic upwards trend, or does this eventually taper out? What about VR? Or does PC or Console rise again?
With an ever-changing landscape, and technologically rapidly changing, it sure is going to be interesting to see what occurs over the coming years.
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a number of studios, looking for some exceptional talent, so feel free to reach out to the gaming guru Jaden.meah@nst-ltd.com if you are potentially looking for your next role.
