This move brings enhanced government support, prioritised cybersecurity measures, and improved resilience to outages and attacks, placing data centres alongside energy and defence in priority.
The decision is already boosting confidence, with a £3.75 billion data centre project set to create thousands of tech jobs, as well as @Amazon’s recently announced plans to invest $10b in UK Data Centres over the next 5 years.
